Martha
Vaughan's illustrations have appeared regularly in The Washington Post for
over thirty years as well as in regional and national magazines, newspapers
and books.
The
digital images she creates of wildlife and nature themes have been licensed
for greeting cards, posters and apparel to National Wildlife Federation, World
Wildlife Fund and United States Humane Society.
In the fall of 2004 Martha became a full time professor in the Communication
Arts and Technologies Department at Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland
where she has taught Illustration and Production since 1996.
Martha
has served as president of the Illustrators Club of Washington and chaired
the Society of Illustrators 42nd Annual Exhibition in New York.
She
holds a BFA
from Virginia Commonwealth University and an MA in Illustration from Syracuse
University.
